Grab your fast lenses, (For those who do not own them we will have at least 1-Canon f/2 and a Nikon F/1.8 and f/2.8 available to borrow) bump up your ISO and bring your tripod or monopod and join us for a hands on instructional evening in the Vegas Vision Studios where you will learn the lighting techniques used to produce moody color and black and white Glamour and or Art Nude photographs using a single source of light. This classic lighting style is a go to staple of Fine Art photographers worldwide and one that every photographer should master.

This is the night for you to really come to understand light and how and why it travels and what you can do to control it and use it to best meet your needs. Today's digital SLRs are all much better at higher ISO's then they have ever been and it is entirely possible to obtain print quality imagery when shooting at ISOs of 600, 800 and above. The key to reduced high ISO noise in the camera is obtaining proper exposure and we will do this by shooting at fast apertures and or slower shutter speeds from tripods.

Learn to cut, direct, focus and reflect light to effectively harness it and utilize every available lumen from your light source to light specific elements of your image and produce artistic print worthy images that match what you see in the modeling lights. A fast lens in the f/1.4 - f/2.8 range is needed for this workshop.b]For those who do not own them we will have at least 1-Canon f/2 and a Nikon F/1.8 and f/2.8 available to borrow and it is likely that there will be more available

As we will be working at higher ISO settings we will also discuss Noise reduction options and the how why and when to use one of the many types of noise reduction available today. In this workshop not a single flicker of light will be allowed to go to waste. In addition to learning how to maximize and control your available light we will discuss and put into practice shooting at High ISO and the many options available for the conversion to black and white.

Once again, VVS put on a great workshop. Light can do some amazing things, and the more Bobby teaches us about how to work with it - the more I appreciate these workshops. The models were smokin hot and easy to work with too!
