Introduction

I'm a photographer from Michigan, where my primary focus was sports photography. Now I would like to focus more on portraiture and think this group would be advantageous.

Are you a Professional, Enthusiastic Hobbyist or beginner

In Michigan, I considered myself a professional, as I lived off my sports photography, I hope in time I will be able to obtain that status here in Vegas.

What camera do you currently work with

Nikon D200, with a D300 coming soon.

What is your #1 photography related goal for the year 2009

To perfect working in my niche of newborn and child photography.

What would you most like to accomplish by joining this group

I would like to be more diverse and versatile in my offerings. I want each portrait I take to differ from the others.

Do you have any previous studio lighting experience

I learned a lot of the basic lighting techniques while training in Michigan, but I look to enhance my knowledge.

Hey, how are you doing ? You are welcome to bring Haley as well with you to the play date if you would like. I know she is a little older then the other children but I can always put a movie on for her or what not. I would hate for you to miss out !

This group offers a wide array of educational interactive hands on photography, lighting, modeling and post production workshops, seminars and fun group shootouts. With the exception of Photoshop workshops all workshop and seminar events feature live professional models and photographers get the opportunity to work with these models one on one in a wide variety of lighting and posing situations. Vegas Vision Studios workshops are the best tool available to put your photography education and career on a fast track for success.

We offer several types of learning opportunities and one of them is bound to be perfect to meet your photography education needs. Workshops are led by noted Commercial Photographer and owner of Vegas Vision Studios Bobby Deal. With an easy layman's style of teaching Bobby conducts each workshops lessons with the needs of the individuals in mind. Everyone from the newbie to the seasoned professional will feel at home in a VVS workshop. With generally small group sizes there is always ample time for One on One question, answer and demonstrations with Bobby.

Some of the lighting styles and techniques regularly covered in our workshops include:

Hollywood Glamour, Film Noir, Art Nude, Maxim Style Glamour, Commercial Stock, High Key' Low Key,
1, 2 and 3 light portraits and head shots, Single light art nudes, Playboy Style, Alternative Light, Pinup style and many more

Workshops are hosted at the http://www.vegasvisionstudios.com which is a 6,000 square foot commercial photography studio located less then a mile from the Las Vegas Strip.
