Mustard and Vines

Before the vines sprout their first tender shoots, wild mustard blooms between the rows and in meadows creating riotous color in contrast to the stark brown vines.  Join me for a day of exploring some of the backroads of Napa and Sonoma in search of the best mustard and wine.

Of course we'll stop at various wineries where you can indulge in a tasting if you care.

This will be an all day event, taking advantage of the last bit of daylight.  We will return after dark.

All that is required to participate is a passion for photography or in this case, perhaps just mustard and wine. :-)

Beautiful, perfect weather for taking photos out doors. A great variety of subjects from nature to architecture.

Fantastic weather to match the beautiful Napa vine-scapes and the great people with me today. Though spring is still a bit slow in coming, we found lots of lovely yellow mustard along with stark and bare vines, a few castles and yes, one wine tasting. Found some lovely new locations that I will be eager to return to before the mustard fades. May have to repeat the workshop again soon. Stay tuned.

Will there be much walking with this event?

Hi Wendy, most of what we will photograph will be visible from the roadside. Some walking yes, major hikes no. Contact me directly for my phone number if you want to discuss what you are comfortable doing.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
