Kundalini Yoga was born when Yogi Bhajan, a man from India, brought new ideas to the west that no one really thought about before. Leaving behind all that he had, Yogi Bhajan came to the USA with one goal in mind; This goal being to teach everyone about something that they all already had inside themselves which was love, connection, and the assurance that we will all live up to our highest potential. Now, spreading this message was not an easy thing to do, especially in a time where everyone turned to drugs to find “love” and “connection”. However, Yogi Bhajan was set on taking his message to the public and made a promise to everyone that there was a way to feel as amazing off drugs as there was on drugs, and the answer was YOGA. Soon after, kundalini centers began springing up everywhere across the United States and then all around the world. For the next 35 years, Bhajan never gave up on his goal and ended up teaching thousands of classes and inspiring millions of people.
Today, it is my goal as Kundalini Yoga teacher, Olga Onkar, to continue to teach Kundalini Yoga as passed down from my personal friend and teacher and to create a community where we can all connect on the same level. I believe that it is 100% possible that we could all live up to our creative potential because we are all born with a certain uniqueness to us, something that we need to find ourselves. This is where Kundalini yoga fits in because it works on the seven chakras which range from the arc-line and the aura and works directly on the flow of energy that runs through you and around you. Kundalini yoga teaches you that how you experience life and all the things around you is based on energy because life is energy and with energy you are either above the energy and ride it, or you go below the energy and it rides you. So, as a teacher who has had the chance to experience the effects of this powerful yoga head on, I could defiantly tell you that Kundalini Yoga is the place that allows you to learn to ride your energy, and to experience it in any given situation and create the balance YOU want.
When practicing Kundalini Yoga, your inner power is awakened to unite with the Universal life force, empowering you with awareness beyond the ordinary. This awakened state gives you the capacity to expand your perspective and experience each day with increasing inspiration and joy.
