WordPress Columbus Meetup

Tonight's Meetup Topic: Intro to Custom Post Types with Case Study. - Angie Meeker

We usually have refreshments available (snacks & beverages). Feel free to contribute and bring your own to share with the group.

We invite anyone that would like to share a topic, or show a project they've worked on as a case study to talk to one of the organizers of the group about presenting.

Most of the topics we cover will include a wide spectrum from introductory "how-to use it" all the way to advanced "how-to code it". Even if you're just starting with WordPress and we're covering an advanced topic you can still get something out of it! We always have volunteers available to do one-on-one or small group ground-up walkthroughs of WordPress!

You never need to worry about if you're going to learn something or not. We guarantee no matter where you're starting you'll come away with something useful.

Hope to see you there!

So is there an already scheduled topic of discussion or will it be open for anything?

That sounds good... as easy as it is to change themes, those who aren't that techie will find it very difficult. Best to choose a theme that will last a year or two before having to look at changing things up.

I am looking for someone who knows "Word Press" well enough to help me set up a rather sole website (against compensation, of course). If anyone out there is in a position to help me, please call[masked] or e-mail to [masked].

I took the "Word Press" workshop at OSU last week and my head is still smoking. I need about 2 to 4 hours guidance on how to fill an existing website. Word Press is already installed on that site.

I attended the Word Press event at OSU last week and my head is spinning. I need help in designing a basic website and need to sit down with someone for a few hours who has done it before. Will compensate the time of course. Erik Meyer

Erik, I took a look at your website. I am sure a nice Wordpress theme and some more verbiage will make your site look less dated.

I take it you have some time on your hands to be able to spend learning how to manipulate Wordpress and utlize all the new technology that is out there for the Web...?

Abel, Thanks for your comment. I need some help badly to get started with Word Press. Any idea who could spent an hour with me to get me started?

I'll just be moving to the area so this might be too soon to find time to join. But I'll be at the following meetups. Can't wait!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
