I kayaked out to peanut isalnad yesterday and the jellyfish are back and this time all the family came with them, I suggest you telll everyone to bring lots of vinegar and wear all the spandex they can. There wasn't a spot on me I didn't get stung yesterday from just the tenacales that were floating in the water even though i didn't make contact with any jelly fish. Cliff Budelman
Craig, Every year I organize a snorkel in Crystal River at a place called idiots delight.. don't let the name scare you.. 100's of manatees show up there in January.. I would be happy to host the session if you want? Would love to snorkel with your group sometime.. I will see if I can make one of your trips coming up soon :)
Hi Craig, My days start early on Saturday's 6 am and also on-call at work so had to get someone to cover me. Realized at 9;30 no one was coming seas were a bit rough but once the critters came out to greet me it was well worth the effort, Some even came home for lunch. I won't be there next week Cliff
Hi Craig, I have a couple of questions for you. I live in West Palm Beach and am wondering if you can suggest a place to purchase new equipment for snorkeling. (I think that one of my kids permanently borrowed my equipment and it's time to upgrade anyway.) Also want to ask if you think that the parking lot at Phil Foster will fill up early and if we should arrive early to assure a parking space. Love your big wrench! Denise
HI Craig! There is an awesome non-profit called Reef Rescue.. all volunteer... they have been helping to crack-down on many pollution issues.. they will be having a fund raiser at the Hurricane Grill on Atlantic Ave in Delray beach on Saturday the 18th.. 1pm-5pm (I think)..food... music... fun... please check out their site and see if you can post something to help support them.... lets all go !
Tamara says you are now an assistant organizer. Congratulations! Look forward to participating in snorkeling events.
