WP Show & Tell

We want to know what the community is up to, so please bring your coolest production and tell us about it! We're interested in seeing your custom sites, themes, plugins, networks... whatever it is that you played a part in building.

If you're interested in sharing, please tell us so in the comments. To keep things moving, limit yourself to 5 minutes as you prepare what you're presenting.

And, as always, we'll be hanging out at Founders for drinks and food afterwards. We'd love it if you could join us!

Awesome! I ended up not being able to go because of a scheduling conflict. Thanks!

Thanks Chad - got only about 30 minutes in, so will be good to see the rest of the presentations.

It was highly informative and entertaining to see others' WordPress projects. The presenters shared a wide variety of designs, themes, plugins, and custom creations.

I agree. Very good presentations. I am glad how people showed off functionality and not just the design of the websites. Very informative to learn about new plugins and added functionality.

I could show a recent project I completed. It would just be showing off a plug-in I discovered that helped manage an essential part of the site.

it looks like GRPD is near the meeting. how convenient or where is the parking for tonight?

    May 16, 2013

    • Topher

There's an excellent pay garage right across the street, on the east side.

      May 16, 2013

    • Steve C.

Yep, it's the UICA parking garage.

I can share my backup process with BackupBuddy and Amazon S3...we talked about this, but can you confirm if I can show it before 6:20 so I can make it to my other commitment? High maintenance, I know.

    May 15, 2013

    • Brian R.

Yessir! I'll try my best to make sure we start promptly at 6pm :)

      May 16, 2013

  • Jeff L.

Just launched a small business and can share our site.

I would like to show, but mostly an unfinished site that need some functional direction. Should presentations be limited to finished sites?

    May 15, 2013

    • Topher

      I'm fine showing unfinished stuff.

      1 · May 15, 2013

    • Brian R.

My demo is of a mostly-finished (and therefore still unfinished) project

This meetup begs to be recorded. Can anyone do that?

    May 15, 2013

  • Brian R.

So far we've got demos from Nate, Scot, Kurt, Jared, Topher and Myself. I'd love to see more cool things. It's just a 5min brag session where you get to point to what you built :)

It doesn't even need to be an entire site, it could just be one neat function you wrote or some clever work-around you crafted to solve a problem you were having. What do you say?

    May 14, 2013

    • Jared O.

      Plus mine are pretty basic.

      May 14, 2013

  • Chad W.

I can't commit to showing anything because today is our baby's due date, so it's unlikely that I'll be there. However, if I'm able to go, I can show a real estate website I recently launched.

    May 14, 2013

    • Brian R.

Congrats, bud! Hope you have to miss the event, given the alternative :)

      May 14, 2013

  • Nate R.

We'll be able to show something from Mindutopia.

    May 14, 2013

  • Topher

I'm sure I can find SOMETHING to show.

    May 14, 2013

  • Scot R.

You can count me in on a demo. I'll have at least one to show. :)

    May 14, 2013

  • Brian R.

Does anyone else have something they'd like to demo? It's going to be pretty boring if it's just Jared, Topher and I.

Surely at least some one else has a cool site/project they helped build?

My schedule just opened up - I am new to WP GR - can you confirm the location?

    May 13, 2013

    • Brian R.

Yep, we'll be meeting at The Factory, downtown GR

      May 14, 2013

  • Kurt H.

    Topher/Brian: I have a site I'd like to show.

    1 · May 14, 2013

  • Steve C.

Wish I could, but I'll be slide-tackling a horde of 4-5 y.o.s on a soccer field about that time. Would love to see a video or hear an audio of the event though!

    May 9, 2013

  • Jared O.

I can show a few of my websites if you want. I have only been doing it for a few years so not very many examples, but some are pretty cool.

    May 9, 2013

  • Joel

Just discovered I have a class that evening.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
