Chicago Wrestling Club Rules of Conduct

I would like to remind everyone that the Chicago Wrestling Club and its members are guests of Quads and the jiu-jitsu school and need to abide by their rules.

Unless you also belong to Quads you are not allowed to use any of their equipment at any time. You are, however, allowed to use the locker rooms, showers and bathrooms. The reason for this is that Quads’ liability insurance only covers members of the gym.

No wrestler should ever step on the mats while a jiu-jitsu or other martial arts class is in progress. Unlike our wrestling workouts, these classes are formal and they do not want any distractions. After we are done we are responsible for cleaning the mats. While we are wrestling we obviously need to be careful with the mirrors. If we break one we will be required to pay for its replacement, which is expensive.

It is very important for us to maintain good relationships with these people. If there are repeated violations the Club risks being asked to leave. Let’s all treat the mats and the jiu-jitsu classes with the respect they desire and deserve.
