We were initially concerned about having a light attendence, but people stopping and joining us and we ultimately had a head count of 25 plus probably another dozen who stopped and listened for a while but never signed in. Alison talked about THE COLONY and her untitled thriller-in-progress, about doing around 100 revisions over a seven year stretch, about how she landed an agent and publisher, about all the things publishers don't tell a writer that they need to know. We also heard about celebrities she has met, interviewed and even sub-let apartments from. Interesting and lots of fun, as well. Too bad so many people from this Meetup were no-shows.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
