This group was started in 2003 with the intent ot providing a caring mutually-supportive community of writers of all levels, from beginner to professional. The format of the meeting is for each member to produce no more than two typewritten, double-spaced pages (often responding to a prompt provided by the leader), and to bring enough copies for all members of the meetup. For the first half-hour we read each other's copy and make comments. Then we go around and deal with each writer in turn giving suggestions on how the piece might be improved, what its strong points are, etc. Because of the format, it is necessary to restrict attendance to 10 at any given meeting. If you are serious about writing and improving your skills, this is the group for you. For medical reasons, I have had to turn over the meetings to John Adamus, under whose care the group has only grown and prospered. Welcome to all writers, regardless of skill level.
