The meeting was well attended and structured. I fiound the give-and-take about "setting" helpful with my own project.Look forward to the next meeting in January.

I was impressed with how friendly and well-run this was. It's so refreshing to connect with such a well-organized meet-up. Thanks!
Large crown and excellent critiques this meeting. I really do like to hear the critiques as it helps me write better and stronger pieces. I have been trying to get some of my self-published FB friends to join because to hear other authors speak liberally about plot structure, story arcs and dramatic tension is valuable to the growth of an aspiring author.

This meeting was a record breaker. 45 people showed up, 26 new people. A lot of talented newcomers was encouraging. Being a featured meetup on the homepage probably did the trick. The craft chat about setting went surprisingly smoothly with the crowd. We had 5 critiques, including a humorous poem. And as a new social tradition afterwards a group of 8 of us went over to the Marathon Grill on 16th for a drink and dinner. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Louis, I'm sorry I didn't get to the meet up. Family business. Ive written one acts and a rock spectacular. Let me check out your graphic novel. Check out my stuff at smashwords.com. search me there.
The diversity of opinion and experience in this group was fascinating and productive. Facilitators handled an unwieldy number of people very well, and the level of conversation was varied and enjoyable.
If the meetup continues to be this size (unlikely, the front page feature will probably be a blip in attendance,) workshops must be broken into smaller groups. Suggestions or requirements of concrete, specific comments on critiqued pieces, such as giving a page and line number to tie a comment down, would make the critique much more productive.
Lots of good writing, and a very rich discussion on "Setting."
Very helpful and informative.
This was my first time at the meetup. I found the attendees to be very intelligent, and the process of discussion very respectful. It was a great experience, and I look forward to the next one!
Hey Julius, hope all is well! We handled the meeting today and it went very well - a TON of new people, which is great!
