I'm new to Philly and have been working on a book for several years. I'd like to meet new people and learn from other writers to improve my writing.
Show instead of tell.
Writing Down the Bones, by Natalie Goldberg.
I like to write fiction. I've been working on a story about a teenage cross country runner who struggles with anorexia, and want to write a collection of short stories based on quotes I heard while on public transit in Chicago.
My favorite books include: The Hours, Native Son, Permanent Midnight, The Plague, The Sweet Hereafter, and The Brothers Karamozov. I like books which center on existential questions or look at how human beings relate to one another.
I love finding new music, running, and traveling.
I really enjoyed this meeting and am looking forward to next month!
Hi Kelly Macdonald, I mean Liz. It was great meeting you at the movie last night. hopefully I'll be seeing you at the next one. I'm also gluten-free, so how about meeting up for a picnic? There are a lot of scenic spots in Philly, so lets load up some baskets and go! -Michael
Hi Liz! We look forward to meeting you. :)
