What is your favorite writing saying?

These fluxuate but a Freya Stark quote inspired and validated my choices as a writer: "There can be no happiness if the things we believe in are different from the things we do." This spoke to me about living your dreams and living who you are.

What is your favorite book on writing?

I read a lot of them and it would be hard to nail any one down... Natalie Goldberg, Ray Bradbury, Orson Scott Card, Stephen King, Ernest Hemingway, but I have to say I think I enjoyed Anne Lamott's Bird By bird most.

What do you write?

Speculative Fiction especially science fiction, fantasy and westerns.

What do you read?

I try to steep myself in my genre and occasionally foray into other types of fiction (aside from the books I devour for research). Right now I am reading a good deal of vampire fiction (Vampire Empire, Carpathia) and I always have a good western on my nightstand.

Tell me something else about yourself, please?

I have a three year old daughter and a row home in Philadelphia. I am currently writing a short novel every month and self publishing them (four trilogies in all) if, for no other reason, to have the words behind me.

Hello all. I'm eager to meet other Philadelphia writers, chat about our craft, swap stories, network, have write-ins and otherwise participate in the discussions over this great profession I have chosen.
