What is your favorite writing saying?

"The pen is mightier than the sword"

What is your favorite book on writing?

The Elements of Style by William Strunk

What do you write?

I am a writer of Urban Fiction and Poetry. I aim to venture into other genres; this is the beginning.

What do you read?

I read fiction, non-fiction, newspapers, and self-empowerment books.

Tell me something else about yourself, please?

I self published my first novel titled "City of Wolves" in 2011 with a GED education. I have never been to high school and just began to further my education after the creation and completion of my book. Because of my lack of skill, my writing was just a talent. That, at the end of the day equals nothing but an equation that's very uncomfortable for me. The book has not done too well and I have not recouped what was invested. Therefore,my goal is to change that with the help of The Philadelphia Writers Group and any other supportive entities.

I'm a college freshman, father, freelance writer, poet, and aspiring author. I'm a Philadelphia native who chose writing as a career because I love it.

What Jae R. is saying about this Meetup Group

This was my first time attending and I find them to be a group I needed for some inspiration, constructive criticism, and answers to unanswered questions.
