Introduction

Greetings. I am cultivating Time to launch my imaginative ideas onto paper and this group may offer an avenue of mutual growth.

What is your favorite writing saying?

Be the word. (Usually said right after: "You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.")

What is your favorite book on writing?

That depends on what I'm writing - not that I have a favorite!

What do you write?

Professionally? So far, that's classified, sorry. :D "Off-duty?" Not enough! And I think that's where this group comes in - see you at the events! ;)

What do you read?

I read mostly science fiction, but I like mysteries, informationl/technical how-to's, biographies, and history (oh, and sequential art, of course).

Tell me something else about yourself, please?

I write during the day - curriculum, mostly - for the government. I like the research aspect.... "Lab?" No, what secret lab?.... Former Air Force (I was never in that hangar in New Mexico, honest...), moved here from Massachusetts, lived/traveled a lot, masters in education. Love being Outside; favorite sports are kayaking, hiking, snowboarding (just learning!), bicycling, and riding my motorcycle (is the latter a sport?). Along with writing and reading, I enjoy art, music, history, science, geography, geology, languages (Spanish, some German, can get into trouble with French, am learning Japanese), and archeology (to name a few, of course...).
