Friday, March 7th 9:00 pm at International House, 3710 Chestnut St Philadelphia .

SFWA member John Dixon has published over thirty stories, appearing in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Aurealis, Andromeda Spaceways, Ideomancer, and The Anthology from Hell. He is perhaps most proud of two stories coauthored with award-winning Australian Adam Browne: the Ditmar Award finalist“Honeymoon” and “The Laughing Girl of Bora Fanong”, which has been reprinted multiple times and is currently under production as a graphic novel. For years, John also ran The Squid, an online magazine that published the speculative fiction of young writers from around the world.

John’s debut novel, Phoenix Island (Simon & Schuster / Gallery Books), inspired the CBS TV series Intelligence, and was recently Amazon’s #1 “hot new release” in YA science fiction / adventure. A former boxer, teacher, and stone mason, John now writes full time and serves as a consultant to ABC Studios. He lives in West Chester, PA, with his wife, Christina, and their freeloading pets. When not reading or writing, he obsesses over boxing, chess, and hot peppers.
