    I sent a reply to your questions before I left on vacation, but I can't locate it. So I'll try to explain again -- forgive me if I'm repeating.

    My comment was intended to be about "honesty." It was not directed at any person or persons and I had no intention of hurting anyone’s feelings. I deeply apologize if I did so. For me, this group is about improving writing skills. Given a choice between honesty and having my feeling spared by being deceived, I’d take the truth. Here’s my pledge: I will be honest; I will be respectful; and I will be tactful.

      You didn't hurt my feelings. I was confused, that's all. I do appreciate your comments. They aren't always what I want to hear, but usually once I think on they make a lot of sense. I like your pledge. Perhaps we should all make it!

    Yes, Jason. I don't understand it either. Thought it was directed at me. : {

    Another very good meeting. Wait till you read my critique before you say how good it was to see me. I've spent two days on it; about halfway done.

      This is such a scary post. It really is.

      Yeah Jason, could you clarify a bit what you meant in your last post and this one? Your subtext adds a bit of a negative connotation to the narrative. I hear complementary kevlar vests will be passed out at the next meeting. ;)

    I had a ball! Lively group, tons of contribution, a great evening. "Nice" is a word I go out of my way to avoid except in sarcasm. Nice implies putting smiley faces on the truth no matter how ugly. A pack of writers worth their salt will not flinch in the face of ugliness and describe it in detail. I felt comfortable among the group which meant their was some edge in the room.

    It was so nice to be back, be inspired, meet new writers, and did I mention be inspired? I am so new to all of this and I learn so much from you, your writing, your comments. Thank you all. See you at the next meeting! Pegi

    Is anyone else having trouble opening Bob's file? I get an error message saying the file is corrupt.

      I opened the new version, but got a prompt that wanted me to choose a default action in the windows version. I have Office 2010, so maybe that's the problem. Anyway, was able to read and review. Thanks.

      I, too, was able to read it. Thanks for saying something Bill as I assumed it was my laptop.

    I have it in Word 2013. Let me try posting it in a older version of word. That may be the problem.

    October 22

    • Mary

      That shouldn't be a problem. Do you have it in .doc or .rtf format?

      October 22

  • Brenda W.

    Sorry, going to have to miss this one.
