Awesome as always. Again I'd like to thank everyone for their comments, questions, feedback and encouragement. We've got a great group of writers and friends here.

Great meeting! The writing was far above average!

Like our kids. Like our writing. Like our town.

This group has many talented writers.
A question, why there's a "good to see you" underneath each attendee's name except under mine?I was very glad to see you also.

I think that is there so that if you click "good to see you" it will generate a message to that person. That's als why you do not see one next to your name. I guess the site assumes you were glad to see yourself! :) And yes, Liliana, it was good to see you too.

I hope to come to the meeting on the 13th, my first. Should I bring something? How does it work? Thanks, Steve

I would encourage people to comment in writing, if they want their comments to be taken seriously. In meetings, I write down the stuff as fast as I can, but it's hard to keep up with all of it.

Tim and Roger have given a good description. If you are not a jump right in person, feel free to just get a feel for what goes on. Comments are voluntary.

Joanna, actually I think you should be forced to go to Thirsty Bernie's. Which you mocked but was actually quite acceptable. I'll even join you and split some 1/2 price wings with you.

    • Joanna

Ok fine. Thirsty Bernie's, guys. It's on Glebe Rd, just south of Lee Hwy. On the right in a little shopping strip.

Pickup night sounds a little nuts. Anybody got an alternative they can recommend?

I haven't been around - have we been to Pete's in a while?

Whoa whoa, tweens?! I'm in. I've got great material for that demo. Such as, "So Twilight's pretty cool, huh?"

Anybody interested in drinks afterwards? I've heard good things about a craft beer place called Rock Bottom, in Ballston Commons Mall. Reactions? Alternatives?

pickup night? why is it only now i'm hearing about this? this is why people go to meetups!! (isn't it?)

I'm just envious. Now, if I were 50 years younger ...

Crap. Can't make it. And all such good submissions, too.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
