  • This location is shown only to members

A Flaming Fragment session is one where members SIGN UP to discuss a fragment of a story or idea he/she is having trouble fully realizing.

It is an open brainstorming session where, by design, we rewrite (or write) your story for you.

We're full now.  You will have 1 minute to share your fragment, then we'll start fanning the flames.

Hi Joanna, I love this walrus idea you had. it could be an hysterical play. I was thinking maybe you could combine: first act, the interview process; second act, life w/ the applicant. and if you make the writer the winning applicant, like somebody suggested, then you can make fun of absolutely everybody. it comes full circle. and maybe the lady turns out to be disappointed w/ the writer and goes back to the island. and now you can see the craziness to the walrus eyes. he turns out to be the only sane one, and can't for the life of him comprehend what's this lady's deal. i don't know if it could become act three. just a tough

Joanna et all, turns out Kevin Smith, the film director, was also inspired by the walrus advert, now plans to shoot a $3M budget horror movie. Production to start this fall to make Sundance entry next year. ;)

Ha! Of course he does. I could always change the animal, nothing to that. But I may not need to worry. After all, "Smith finished the first draft of the script for Tusk in 20 days." I might come out a winner in this.

I'm not, like, obsessed with pizza. It's just we haven't been to Faccia Luna in a while, unless I'm mistaken. And it's quiet, and they have beer and salads too. So how bout it?

Francophone, anglophone, une puce c'est une puce. A pissed off puce would be something to see...

I would like to reserve a spot.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
