Thanks to everyone who slogged through the 19 pages of my story and the insightful comments and recommendations.

A special thanks to everyone for your insight on my piece! I have to admit, I was a little nervous, but am glad I took this important step. Thanks for making it a good experience.

I'm very intrigued by your entry and am eager to read more, especially how a serial killer story turns into a sci fi mystery. I love mixed-genre pieces.

Thanks for your input, Jun. I'm attempting to take today's science (stuff in its infancy) and take it to an extreme. It works in my head. Let's see if it works on the page!

Excellent as always. The talent of the writers attending is matched only by Mr. Klein's sartorial splendor.

I have to miss tonight's meeting. Work.

Hi all-won't be able to come tonight. Work. Work's siren call (or work's something. . .) have a rice evening!

Sorry to miss another meeting this week, but I got rearended last night so I'm dealing with a bunch of car crap today. I'll be out again next week because I have something going on that night, but hopefully I will be back in business again starting the second week in November!

      Ugh - you poor thing!

Have to miss tonight's meeting, especially when I read and enjoyed all the submissions. I' ll e-mail my comments to the authors and hope to see everyone next week.

How long does the meeting usually last? Do you share each others work, and then write on your own? When do people start to break up and leave?

    October 28, 2013

    • Jim

Hi Sarah! Meetings usually run about 2 hours, with an optional "happy hour" afterwards. We do critiques of each other's work every other week (generally), and a writing-related exercise every other-other week (generally).

Yes, what he said. (Thanks, Jim.)

Can Umbrella Policy be reposted as a Word doc so I can print it out single-space? Haven't figured out how to do that with a pdf file. Thanks

    October 29, 2013

I am currently attending a class on Wednesday nights but I will return to the group. I have not been able to quell the writing voice that I need to refine and to express.
Thanks for keeping me on the mailing list.
