My biggest regret was arriving much later than I'd hoped, but I still got a lot out of hearing a published writer speak. Really glad this came together, thanks to Hilzenrath for his time and interest in us, and huge kudos to Michael for making it happen, and making it happen well.A useful and interesting departure from our usual routine, I think, and I hope it can happen again with other writers from time to time as we find them.Hope others enjoyed it too!

The event was really worthwhile - Mr. Hilzenrath was very engaging, informative and forthright about the whole writing and publishing process. I really enjoyed the talk!

I thought it was good to hear a writer who was not a superstar, who suffered rejection from conventional publishers and agents and went the POD route -- albeit it using his Washington Post cachet and connections. Also the give and take on the writing process was interesting. In general, I found the questions instructive as the answers.
