Brief Bio: Terence Kuch’s literary fiction and other writing has been published in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Canada, Australia, India, and Thailand. His work has been praised by the New York Times and Kirkus Reviews.

What are you writing, or interested in writing?

My daily microfiction site, www.terencekuch.com, has had more than 23,000 page views -- take a look. I also publish short stories, mostly dark and obsessional, not many upbeat endings. Two commercially published novels. Two plays produced, one by Arena Stage actors & director in summer stock. I have a naturally curly mind.

Congratulations on acceptance of your recent piece at a French publisher. English is commonly used in the other countries where you've published but that's not the case in France and the fact that a French publisher has decided to publish it seems to me to be no mean feat. Bravo!

Thanks for reading my story even though you didn't make it to the meeting. And thanks for the comment. I will see you in 3 weeks as I'll be out of town for the next 2. But I will be reading your daily short stories. Keep writing!

Terence, thanks for telling me about the Sheckley collection. That should be one terrific read!

Btw, I did read your story and in contrast to others, I actually wanted to make it even...pithier? That is, I would have cut out more, like knowing your wife's name or how you felt about the kids. I confess I didn't realize Monsignor "knew" about the angels and I was surprised (pleasantly) by the ending. I always like a twist and it's especially intriguing when it happens to a concept that is an established cultural icon, like the Ayran Angel.
