I don't know where everyone is but either Alexandria or Arlington work fine for me.

I still vote that we should give the Upstairs of Whole Foods a try. Its right across the street from where we meet now so the location isnt a problem, its empty and its normally pretty quiet. Or North Side Social, since they have a backroom. Although I wouldnt mind Alexandria, especially if its on the metro, and there is the free king street trolly.

Arlington is a lot better, I think. Let's try the library. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on the alexandria idea. Especially since I am lacking wheels at the moment. Plus as Terence said, most of our members live in arlington.

Do we know where most of our (active) members live? (North Arl., South Arl, Other). That may influence where we'd want to move to.

I dig that idea...

I have a connection at Le Pain Quotidien--though it's expensive, and the one in Clarendon is noisy, but the one in Old Town has an entirely empty upstairs. Just throwing out ideas.

We knew this day might come, but now it is official. Renovations at the Clarendon Barnes & Noble will take away all currently unused space at the store. Which means there will be no meeting space for us (or anyone else).

Our store contact tried to wrangle us some space in another area of the store, but there just won'd be any way to make it work, at least not in the short term.

So...we're looking for a new home - for the summer at least.

If you have any ideas, please post them here and we'll look into them. We're trying to find space that is Metro accessible and free.

We could end up returning to a coffee shop environment where attendees are silently expected to buy a drink or snack, and that would be fine, but to go to a full service restaurant may be impractical.

July 7th will be our 183rd and final meeting at B&N - let's hear those creative ideas about a new home!

MK
