One question I have re the various sites suggested is how their seating
arrangements affect the ability for everyone to hear clearly what is said
-- realizing as I did at the last meeting I attended (6/7) that some folks
mumble or otherwise aren't very audible. Our current B&N arrangement
is fine, i.e., seating in a circle allows good visual and auditory
contact. Sitting around a number of small tables in a food
court disadvantages both our eyes and ears compared to B&N. Ditto
sitting around one long table. I realize I've been spoiled by the B&N
arrangement, but suggest we all consider these factors in making a

someone suggested that we doublecheck with mall management to
make sure we could meet there. i just spoke with leila in ballston
mall management, and she said it's fine with them if we want to meet
btw, other meetup groups and some religious groups have meetings
in ballston's food court as well.

if you want to eat and drink, you can and there's tons of
options since it's a food court, but there's absolutely no
obligation to buy food/drink if you don't want

knew this day might come, but now it is official. Renovations
at the Clarendon Barnes & Noble will take away all
currently unused space at the store. Which means there will be
no meeting space for us (or anyone else).
contact tried to wrangle us some space in another area of the
store, but there just won'd be any way to make it work, at
least not in the short term.
looking for a new home - for the summer at least.
If you have
any ideas, please post them here and we'll look into them.

silently expected to buy a drink or snack, and that would be
fine, but to go to a full service restaurant may be
