Poet Laureate Reading Tonight!

From: Helen Y.
Sent on: Thursday, May 3, 2012, 11:15 AM

Hey writers,

Just wanted to spread the word about the reading tonight. Philip Levine, the U.S. Poet Laureate, will be concluding the Library of Congress [masked] literary season with a lecture titled "The Forgotten Poets of My Youth." It's free and it's from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at the Coolidge Auditorium on the Ground floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building but it's recommended to get there 30-45 minutes in advance because it will be packed. There's a signing and (free) refreshments afterwards as well. He's a great speaker, very down to earth and funny as well. If you need more information contact the Library of Congress at (202)[masked].  It should be a lot of fun. If you're interested in going send me an e-mail and want to sit together then find me in the auditorium. I plan to get there early and will be sitting in the middle section, down by the front row if not the front row itself.

All the best,
Helen Yoshida
