Triangle Sisters in Crime monthly meeting - public welcome

SinC is an international organization formed to support women mystery writers; men are welcome too. This month's speaker is Theresa Newman, J.D. of the Wrongful Convictions Clinic, which has helped free four innocent men since 2010. She'll address some of the principal causes of wrongful convictions, including mistaken eyewitness identification, false confessions, faulty forensic evidence, misconduct and ineffective representation.

Theresa Newman, J.D. of Duke's Wrongful Convictions Clinic will be talking about mistaken eyewitness identification, false confessions, faulty forensic evidence, misconduct and ineffective representation. I'm looking forward to this behind-the-scenes look at our legal system.
