Algonquin Books Editor Chuck Adams Talk

On Saturday July 26 at 11:00am at the Cameron Village Regional Library, Algonquin Books Executive Editor Chuck Adams will speak with Write to Publish organizer Stacey Cochran in a Q&A session on the topic of book publishing. This event is free to attend, and newcomers are welcome.

We'll ask Chuck how writers can best avoid the dreaded "No" of rejection, what he looks for in a manuscript, whether writers need a literary agent or not and how best to find and work with one, what an editor does and how best to work with one, what his experience was like working on the enormously successful Water for Elephants, the future of publishing, ebooks, literary and genre fiction, non-fiction, the history of Algonquin and its mission, book marketing, and the ingredients of our best-loved stories.

I heard Chuck when he spoke to the group a few years ago, and he is one of the speakers you really should not miss! Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict presents a problem for me this time... :(
