Hello. I've lived in Raleigh for 10 years. Am interested in meeting other writers. I write short fiction, flash fiction, poetry, essays and am also working on a novel. My third book of poetry is WEARY BLUES (Big Table Publishing, Mass.).
My poetry has appeared in Calyx, Feminist Studies, 13th Moon, Crucible, Cold Mountain Review, etc. Fiction has also been published in literary journals. My novella was a finalist in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Contest.

Hi Maureen,
Just re-joined the group. Been busy, busy, busy. Just self-published my first full length novel "retrOrlando", and am planning to attend the Oct. 6 meet up. Will read a snippet if I'm one of the lucky first 14. See you then.
Hi Maureen,
Just realized hubby's back Fri., and not Thurs. like I thought!! I also have an 11 yr. old--who has already started school and the 6:20 am bus ride, so I'll have to wait until next month.
Cheers, Vicky
Hi Maureen, I'm interested in attending the meetup on Thursday, but I would need to bring my 8- and 9-year-old daughters. Would this be kid-friendly?
Hi Maureen. Thank you for co-hosting The Poetry Reading @ Cameron Village Library, I enjoyed the reading. Three different poets with three different styles of writing and speaking, yet you all spoke from the heart. I love that about good poetry. As a prose writer it reiterated the importance of synthesising poetry into prose. I got over the intimidation and sat down last night and wrote a poem. Win lose or draw, the reading helped knock down a mental barrier.
hi Maureen, just wanted to say thank you. Your meeting was great, met good people and enjoyed the readings thoroughly. See you next time.
thank you.
Hi Maureen,
How does one sign up for the open mic?

Hi Maureen, I'm looking forward to meeting you. I haven't been to a reading at The Royal Bean before, only the TAF meetings when they met there. Anora
I just found the friends button and had a few minutes to play - hugs and smiles to you for today.
Maureen:
I will most likely be late for tomorrow's open mike but I hope I can put my name in when I arrive. It's great that so many people are attending.
