Yes, but not since 2003. With only 966 characters left...no, 875...never mind; it's a long story and best told over wine. I anticipate a novel I finished several months ago to be published next year since there is interest from an independent publisher, and I will consider self-publishing it sooner if I can finish the editing I'm doing now.
I am working on a website now. 'Web block' has been an issue. Immersed again in the wonderful and frustrating realm of writing I want and need interaction with other ecstatic and frustrated writers. Perhaps some of them have great advice on how to make a website interesting and an integral part of my writing career. I find I am not a social network butterfly and can write about anything better than I can write about myself. By the way, are you bored yet?
All types of writing are of interest to me; some types because others are so good at them and I love reading/hearing their work and then there are types I strive to call 'mine'...short stories, poetry and women's fiction (my novel falls into that last type.)
I'm editing my novel. My 'editor-friend' advised me to do it as quickly as possible, and I've discovered editing isn't easy if you've edited it already. If I complete that task poetry and short stories will be my focus. With characters left I suppose I should, could, write more...hmmm, well I am currently looking at artist's spaces with a friend who is an incredible eco-artist and discussing the chance to do readings with the owners of 4 Raleigh restaurants. They are interested, or say they are. Two of them are faves of mine and within walking distance of my house. I may get a chance for much-needed exercise if I'm granted the opportunity to share my writing with people who are eating good food and drinking delicious wines. If I don't get the chance to read at them, I'm targeting the McDonalds on the corner of Wycliffe Road and Lake Boone Trail. At 1.2 miles from my house, the exercise aspect of my objective is still possible. The McD AM regulars might listen to me read.
My name is Cristina. I write. I also re-write and backspace and delete words, a lot. I live in Raleigh but also call Avon, on Hatteras Island, home. Joining a group of writers has been on my 'to-do' list for a long time. It's time to do it.
