72 Meetups
I've been impressed with the panelists at the meetings, picking up new ideas, and enjoying the conversation afterwards. Write2Publish has given me lots of ideas about writing and publishing and been a springboard to other meetings and groups.
My daughter, Katie, and I just published the 2009 poetrySPARK Anthology, the best of the poetry read at that event in Raleigh last September, and it's selling big time! I lead that group of totally diverse poetry every year. Buy the book at lulu.com!

Poetry, fiction, narrative nonfiction, humor. My 'roots' are in the formerly 'New' American Poetry, esp. the Black Mountain School (Olson, Creeley, et. al.). Relating poetry to life and work - words to express ideas, not as ends in themselves.
Always reading eclectically, writing poetry which Apogee will design into a book and probably self-publish. Working as editor on our first project, the publication of the complete works of my kids' ancestor, which we will publish. Doing readings.
"I'm partners with my son in Apogee, offering writing services, editing, and all creative services, including graphic design by my very talented daughter, audio, video, etc. We also offer virtual publishing for self publishers from manuscript to book."
The groups are growing with a lot of talented organizers involved and different venues. It is a terrific avenue of networking and information and intellectual growth - the various sub-groups encompass a lot of territory. The guests are always interesting and willing to share their experience, and I have gotten some good ideas about publishing from the guests and Stacey.

Hey, Cal. How's the playwriting going?
Thanks for befriending me on meet-up, Cal.
Hi Cal,
Great to talk with you tonight. I'm looking forward to hearing something in the tradition of Homer.
