Prose about family and friendship, with some depth and humor. Short poems.

A coming-of-age novel set in the South in the 60s and 70s. Poetry.

Hi Elizabeth, if you have decent athletic shoes (running, tennis) you should be OK as far as footwear goes. I plan on assessing how everyone is doing at the halfway point and seeing if anyone wants to take the shortcut back (making the total distance about 3 miles). So you wouldn't be stuck doing 5.4 if you weren't up for it. Also, I set whatever pace the group is happy with and don't push beyond that. I'm not pushing you to go, but I'd be happy to have you along. Leslie

Elizabeth, I have posted my own first submission for the Online Meetup in pdf format as you requested. With permission, I'll do the same for anyone else who posts files for the group. I hope you'll join in, as we're looking a little sparse for the first round. Hopefully we'll build up interest over time.
