What Anthony S. is saying about this Meetup Group

I went once; I didn't like it. First of all, it was very noisy! The group meets at Midtown Market. There was a constant din from the ventilation system. Even worse, there was a cook in the Mexican restaurant banging dough into a cookie sheet as he prepared for the day. The way it worked was somebody picked a prompt from a box and read it. Then everyone wrote for a few minutes. Then people passed a microphone around and read what he or she wrote or not. But no one commented, no one laughed, no one gave any feedback. All the social, fun parts of a writing group were lacking, plus it was doubly noisy from the ventilation system and the noisy cook. The meeting lasted for 2 hours, but I left after the first hour. I wasn't getting anything out of it.
