The end of summer but the beginning of your new book?

If cookouts, pool parties, 90 degree weather, and the always tempting ice cream man couldn't keep you from putting words on the page, how big a deal can the end of summer really be?

I could tempt you cool air conditioning and great smoothies from Book Bums, but we could meet around a card table along the side of Reading Road and you would still be there. Why? Because you are a fearsome writer, the Gengis Khan of writers, conquering all blank pages in your way. Hannibal rode elephants to victory. You only need your writer's pen.

Come share the spoils of your literary victory with your fellow warrior scribes this Monday, August 20, at Book Bums, at 7:00pm. Sip on something cool and tell us about all the blank pages you dispatched this summer. We salute you and your efforts.

Good writers, good insight, good conversation. It really helps to hear what others have to say about each others' writing, to get the benefit of various perspectives.

I was there, I was simply remote viewing from 50 miles away and no one knew it. No actually I couldn't make it but I'm sure it was good.

Hello. I'm new to Meet Up and just joined this group. I am also an aspiring writer who is putting the final touches on a novel. I can't make it to tomorrow's meeting (8/20), but I am interested in checking this group out and coming to another meeting soon.

I would say science fiction, but I'm afraid that would give the wrong impression. It deals with future history and has some elements of sci-fi but it's not overtly fantastical.
