Most my stories exist in my head rather than on paper. I like to develop stories, the people who inhabit them, what they say... but not much else. This is why if I ever seriously pursue writing it will be in the form of graphic novels or picture books. I don't have the patience for writing about an urban landscape or someone's appearance. I am far more drawn to dialogue than I am to scenery and such. I would prefer that these aspects of my stories be shared visually with the reader. So, the most that I have accomplished as a writer are some short stories. I did not seek to publish any of them. Some of them were simply class assignments from college, and others were stories that I shared on forums with like-minded people. I am drawn to the idea of reading others' work and providing constructive feedback. A skills test once described me as a "maximizer" - meaning I like to improve things. And besides, I think this group and its activities would make for good discussion.
Hi all, I'm a native Davisite, born, raised, educated, employed, perhaps eventually buried... but hopefully not. I'm rather an "idea guy" when it comes to stories; I lay out a plot, create some characters... but never get very far. So far.
