I'm the new organizer of the tea club. Steven's original vision for the club, one of trying to open peoples' eyes to the wonders of fine tea, resonates with me quite strongly and so I have stepped in to host events. I'm recently back from a number of years in the East. While in Asia I was fortunate to be able to study first hand with some of the leading lights of Chinese tea. Chief among them is Master He of Taiwan/China, for whom I co-translated a book on the 'Way of Tea'. My goal with the group, is to import something of this ancient mystical practice to the West and give Vancouverites the opportunity to share in this tradition; one that is transformative to mind, body and spirit.
