Welcome to the Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Greater New York, a non-profit organization, bringing Jewish people together to enjoy the outdoors. We are a volunteer-led, member-driven organization of approximately 200 members that welcomes all members of the Jewish community, age 18 and older, to partake in a variety of activities with other Jewish outdoor enthusiasts. Our activities range from difficult hikes(Breakneck Ridge, Schenemunk Mountain), lighter/moderate hikes(Rockefeller Preserve, Caumsett State Park), biking trips, canoeing(Delaware, Pine Barrens), urban walks throughout the five boroughs, a summer picnic and a Chanukah Party that draws big crowds. We have been around since 1992.
Membership in our club offers a unique opportunity for our members to:
foster a greater appreciation of the outdoors
develop an environmental awareness
gain valuable leadership and outdoor skills
socialize with other Jewish outdoor enthusiasts in a "down to earth" warm, friendly atmosphere
Our official website is http://www.mosaic-gny... .
Annual membership dues are only $20/year for individuals, or $25/year for couples or families. We also offer two-year memberships with a $5 discount.
