Interested in becoming a PCMT Host

From: Chuck

As many of you may know I have been a Park City Mountain Host for seven years. That's how I am able to afford to ski 40 days a year and get passes for my family too. If you are interested here are the details of applying from my supervisor:

We believe we will be hiring around 20 new Hosts for the upcoming season.  If you have any friends who are interested in the program, please let them know that the job will be posted on the PCMR website in early June and encourage them to apply.  Our Hiring Camp for new Hosts will be on Thursday, October 3rd, at 6 PM in Legacy Lodge.  This information will be available on the website in the job description.

In a nutshell you apply for a certain day of the week and are responsible for that day for the entire 18 week season. Your day is roughly 7:30 to 4:30 with a meeting at 8:00 where you are dressed and ready to go in the locker room. There is a mandatory one day indoor training day (Saturday) prior to the season start and your total commitment is 22 days so you have work an extra three days. If you need to be off a day we do trades with those in the department (150).

Your benefits are a season pass for you your first year, spouse the second and full family on the third (up to age 22). If you are not married you can exchange the value in passes for day passes. For the first two years you can get discounted passes for spouse and family. We also get 50% off on meals (up to $20/day), 50% off on waxing,  and 20% off at PCMR stores. We get ski lessons for $1 space available. If you don't ski well you can work as a Plaza host restricted to the base area. Snowboarders are welcome too, we just give you a hard time!!

Let me know if interested or if you want to discuss and can be reached at[masked]-0449.
