TREE LIGHTING IS AT 6PM--LOBBY
There are already 80 signed up on the Austin Womens Group--(Yikes!)
I am adding this now, so I don't forget--they light the tree this evening, have snow, and the choir--this will be our co-ed happy hour for December--sign up early, as this will be a limited number, and I will be posting on other groups--
This should be a fabulous evening--lets help celebrate the Christmas holidays --If you havent been here during the holdiays, the decorations are just gorgeous--
We will be upstairs enjoying half price appetizers and drink specials--live entertainment upstairs as well--
Plenty of standing room, if you want a seat, need to come early as it is limited, and it will be first come first serve as this will not be a reservation for held seats--
Down stairs in the lobby area where you can enjoy their famous tree, will also be free treats from the bakery and music--and then upstairs in the bar area is where we can enjoy more music and appetizers--
Something from their web page
-shortly before Christmas--to great fanfare and applause from the under 20,000 citizens who inhabited Austin at the time. The Austin Daily Statesman put out an eight-page special edition of the newspaper in a seven-tiered headline to announce that "...The building presents an imposing and inviting appearance, as it looms up like a palace above all the surrounding buildings."
Since that time, the "grande dame" of Texas hotels has remained a magnificent gathering place for Austinites, Texans and others to celebrate the holidays and other special moments of their lives in Col. Jesse splendid Victorian masterpiece.
We invite you to recapture a nostalgic memory from a holiday season long past and to create new memories for your family and friends during 12 Days of Christmas
Hope to see you there
