Yes, and as long as you warm up sufficiently and work within your abilities, you should be able to minimize your risk of injury. It does take dedication and consistency, and if you're willing to practice, the discoveries you'll make will astound you.
Hi, Y'all should know that I started hooping as an adult. In a nutshell, Hoopdance has enriched my life, strengthened my body and nourished my soul. It's a beautiful and athletic way to express yourself and a fun way to stay (or get) in shape.
Today I shot some wonderful video of the gooddesses hooping blindfolded. Sure wish Meet Up would accept videos, not just pictures. It was fabulous to watch everyone melding with their hoops. That was hoop bliss!
