Fish Bowl discussion: What makes a great agile developer?

Being a great developer can set you apart from the rest, make your work more stress-free, and do wonders for your career. As a hiring manager, being able to recognize and recruit a great developer can have incredible effects to the organization and product. It's one thing to be able to come up with elegant solutions, complicated algorithms, and know many languages, but does this mean you're a great developer? How do good programming practices, such as TDD, factor in when determining how good a developer is? Come out on August 31st to discuss, share your ideas, and let's try to figure out what defines a great agile developer!

I liked the Round-Table type discussion

Great topic!! Way more information and opinions than time permitted. Informative, thoughtful contributions from participants. Seeds for many future discussions in the points covered.

Might have been interesting to have this as round-table/boardroom format instead of Fishbowl.

part of the discussion might be about creating an environment that encourages being a great (Agile) developer; what are the factors that we feel are important?
