Hi New York Semantic Web Meetup,
thank you for making your way to the financial district last night! We
had a great session that introduced you to the concepts of RDF, RDFS
and OWL (RDFS-Plus) . The slides will be online soon. In
particular I would like to thank Milla Bakhareva, CEO Istari
Technologies our host for providing the place and snacks for the
meetup and Gerald McCollam, OpenMine, LLC for a very well put together
set of slides and presentation.
Yesterday we had a combined XP and New York Semantic Web Meetup
session. The XP meetup will continue to provide you the
opportunity to get hands on experience by using an extreme programming
style to develop applications for the Semantic Web paired with an open
discussion. The XP meetup is a direct extension to the New York
Semantic Web Meetup. The New York Semantic Web Meetup track will
became or already is the place for your presentations or invited
speakers and local project presentations. From time to time we will
schedule a social New York Semantic Web meetup to follow up on
discussions and ideas.
Please if you have a location or topic related to the Semantic Web
that you would like to present at a future meetup let me know.
BTW next week Thursday July 10, Microsoft hosts an interesting event:
A discussion with Eric Evans about Domain Driven Design . If
you plan to attend this session please send an email to Bill Zack
("William Zack" <[address removed]>). In this discussion I am
looking in particular for joined efforts in the Semantic Web and DDD
Happy 4th of July!
