First of all, I'd like to thank Sherrod and Mike for presenting at last night's session and thanks to all who came; it was a great turn out. The guys changed things up a bit with the interactive nature of the meetup. I think the format of the meetup (first presentation then interactive group work) kept everyone awake, interested, and involved. I hope you all enjoyed it and learned a lot.
In order to keep the conversations going, we'd like to start leveraging twitter (isn't everyone these days?). You can follow each other and in your messages you can use the #xpnyc hashtag to make it easier to search for and see each other's tweets as they relate to the meetup and extreme programming. Marco has enabled a twitter feed for all messages that contain the #xpnyc hashtag at the meetup website at http://www.xpnyc.org
so that you can see what people are talking about. This hashtag could be used for anything from networking, to asking each other questions about the community or technical questions, to discussing your everyday XP related experiences. *Please note that we share the website with the XP user group, so don't be alarmed if you information on there that is not just meetup related.
We are currently planning the next session, so please please please let us know if there is something you'd like to learn more about or present about and we will do what we can to accommodate that topic.
Finally, if anyone has or plans to blog about last night's meetup, please let us know so that we can notify the group and post a link to the blog post.
Thanks and hope to see you at the next meetup,
P.S. Marco and my twitter names are : @neumarcx and @gboruk respectively.
