Arabic/English CONVERSATION EXCHANGE!!

ARABIC/ENGLISH CONVERSATION EXCHANGE!

Our Yalla Arabi member, Mo, has offered to help me host our first conversation exchange meetup. He is fluent in Egyptian Arabic and wants to be more fluent in English. If you want to be more fluent in Arabic, then this is the meetup for YOU!

Nothing beats face to face conversation for language practice.

OUR GOALS:

• 10 minutes of English conversation

• 10 minutes of Arabic conversation

• Alternate

Feel free to bring some Arabic/English reading material to refer to or to kick off the conversation.

Yalla! We are finally kicking off the language exchange! Let's make it good!

Does this sound odd - maybe we can involve the owner of the cafe Mudraker's in our 'Arab conversation meet up'...he seemed to be interested. this could be a win - win for him and us????

I was there Faiza and the cafe was closed and no one inside ... That's strange :)

What time did you leave? 5 people were inside from our group. If you got there early maybe they closed for a bathroom break? The back room had the lights off the whole time, but the front room was lit. Maybe you only went to the back door?

Don't forget that the date was changed to Tuesday Oct 8th for this event due to the Arab Film Festival schedule. Hope to see you Tuesday night!

  • Faiza

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE FOR THIS EVENT:
To avoid a schedule conflict with the recently published schedule for the Arab Film Festival this meetup is now on Tuesday Oct 8th at 7pm-8:30pm at Mudraker's Cafe in Berkeley.

The upcoming Arab Film Festival is on this weekend (Friday Oct 11-Sun Oct 13th), so I may need to change the time of this CONVERSATION meeting to earlier in the day or a different day. Sorry for any confusion.

The Arab Film Festival schedule is due to be announced very soon. When it's announced, I can rearrange things a bit to avoid a scheduling conflict.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
