Please share what experience you have with Arabic language and/or culture.

While making my way through a crowd of Arab kids in Haifa, Israel, one of them said, "Sabah al kheir." He obviously didn't expect a response but I said, "Sabah an-nur." They all said, "Oooh!" with great surprise. I also asked directions in Arabic.

What would you like to gain from coming to "Yalla Arabi!" meetups?

Network with other learners of Arabic. Stimulate my brain to learn more Arabic.

I've studied Arabic for 10 1/2 years and have failed miserably. I have decent Arabic handwriting but most aspects of the language are EXTREMELY difficult! I need a very Arabic environment in which to learn.
