Please share what experience you have with Arabic language and/or culture.

During college I studied MSA and Jordanian 3ameya for four years in San Diego and Amman, Jordan. I also spent two and a half years living in Cairo for graduate school, however my area and language of study were not Arabic. I picked up a good deal of Egyptian 3ameya, but am (sadly) far from fluent and it has now been four years since I took an Arabic class.

What would you like to gain from coming to "Yalla Arabi!" meetups?

I hope to use this as a way to seriously stay dedicated to practicing Arabic conversation, and also to meet others interested in Arabic language and culture or native speakers.

How did you find out about Yalla Arabi?

Google search for Arabic language groups in the Bay Area

I began studying Arabic seven years ago, but really want to brush up on it. I recently moved to Oakland and am looking for opportunities to meet other Arabic speakers/learners!
