I've had the good fortune to be exposed to Arabic music and although I could learn a lot more about it, I enjoy it very much and even have a few CDs stashed in my library. Because I speak a little bit of a few languages from birth, my ears are pretty quick and pronouncing things is usually fairly easy for me. Whenever I've heard the Arabic language spoken in the neighborhoods I pass though and at stores where I do my shopping, I'm always fascinated by the sound of it. I made up my mind quite sometime ago to try to learn a little, so I'm glad to have found this group.
Gradual increase of vocabulary and basic conversation. I'm betting this will be a good way to learn more about the various Arabic cultures.

I'm a published poet/writer/photographer who is best described as a "Renaissance Woman." My parents encouraged me to try new things, travel, meet people, and learn a few languages, at least how to say thank you in as many as possible.
