Cool, it is very helpful to know the event is free with donations accepted.

I hope I can make this event tonight!

Just an additional note that tomorrow's event is FREE or DONATIONS ACCEPTED.

if you missed the previous email:
I am very happy to announce a guest speaker for Tuesday 9/8/09 7:00 PM about his experiences in Israel/Palestine. Location in Berkeley-Mudraker Cafe 2801 Telegraph @ Stuart St.. Presented with www.JustPeaceMidEast.org.

Ziad Abbas is a Palestinian refugee from Dheisheh Refugee camp in the West Bank. He is the cofounder of the Ibdaa Cultural Center (www.ibdaa194.org) in Dheisheh where he has served as Executive Director since 1994.

Ziad is also a journalist who has worked with Palestinian and international media and has participated in the production of several documentary films. He recently completed his Master of Arts in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations from the School for International Training Graduate Institute. Currently on leave from the Ibdaa Cultural Center, Ziad is working with Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA, www.mecaforpeace.org), a non-profit organization based in Berkeley,

For more than 20 years MECA has been sending food and medical aid to children in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq and supporting community projects to improve the lives of children in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Immediately following the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, MECA brought in four tons of medicine for infants and children, several tons of baby cereal and powdered milk, an ambulance, wheelchairs and art supplies.

Your support is appreciated if you can make it to this important educational event.
