On Saturday, February 13th, 2010, the Doggie Lounge and Nightclub is hosting a Valentine's Day fundraising event to benefit Colorado Canine Rescue! Join us from 1 – 4 pm for this fun, creative Valentine’s Day party – socialize, meet new people, get a Valentine's Day photo of you with your canine pals, and guests at least 21 years of age are invited to enjoy a wine tasting courtesy of our gracious hosts at the Doggie Lounge. You’ll have a chance to enter to win great prizes, including (human) massages and free day stays for your pups at the Doggie Lounge!

We are not charging for this event – instead, we’re asking that you donate to Colorado Canine Rescue (through their website in advance or at the door when you arrive) to show your support for their mission and an appreciation for what they do to help the canines in their care find their fur-ever homes.

Don’t miss the ceremony! Bring your two love-struck pups for a free, fun “doggie wedding ceremony” for those pups that are ready to “officially” tie-the-knot. CCR is bringing in pet photographer Dan Rieber for the event (http://www.Rieber.Smu.... Dan is donating both his time and a percentage of proceeds from any photo products purchased from pictures taken at this event – so dress for the occasion, have your photo taken with your adored companion & when you decide you MUST order copies, CDs or other products you’ll help Colorado Canine Rescue care for those still searching for their fur-ever homes.

Looking for a new addition? Our guests of honor will be the adoptable dogs of CRC – meet the wonderful dogs given a second chance by Colorado Canine Rescue. We’re looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, February 13th at the Doggie Lounge & Nightclub in Englewood!

I think the section that you saw is where the Doggie Lounge had their dogs that were being boarded over the weekend. Unfortunately, for this event there was not an option to separate. We will definitely find a way to provide for the little dogs in any future events. Thank you for coming!

I was being nosey and noticed a whole other section on the other side for small dogs. I think it might have been less chaotic if we could have separated them.

Thank you to everyone who came to our event and donated to Colorado Canine Rescue! We were able to raise enough funds to support 3-4 dogs (on average)! We will definitely keep everyone's suggestions in mind and for any future events we'll put a cap on the attendance. It did get pretty crowded! Thank you, again, for everyone?s support and we hope you and your furry friends had a good time and got some good pictures!

Good idea, but the directions were wrong, there was hardly a place to park when I got there, and the space was a little too cramped. Good idea, maybe we just need another venue next time for this. That's all.

My dog (long legged standard poodle) had a great time, but the smaller dogs were somewhat hesitant to run with the bigger dogs. Everyone that I talked to said this was their first "meet up"event. Was this the first event for this group? We told our next door neighbor who thought it sounded like a great idea. Will forward the info to him for the next event. Do you ever have 50-60 age attendees - most yesterday were 20-30 - a little younger than we are. Loved the idea that it was a fund raising event for the Colorado Canine Rescue.

We had a great time to and I will second the idea to possibly have an area for the little dogs. My guys had fun but got knocked around by the big dogs a bunch of times. An under 10-pound zone perhaps?

As a foster-mom for Colorado Canine Rescue, I wanted to thank everyone who came and donated to the rescue. The primary needs for any rescue are foster parents and funding - so thank you. If you are interested in what we are doing or could foster a dog, please let us know. The website is easy - coloradocaninerescue.org. Thanks again!

I couldn't stay that long, but I thought the meeting was great! Dogs running around everywhere. Plus, I know I am a little biased, but I love the Doggie Lounge- it is where my shepherd goes for daycare and boarding and he has always loved it there. The wedding was really cute and I thought Kyllee did a great job with it! This was my first Yappy Hour meeting and I look forward to attending others!

No area for small dogs so after 5 minutes of craziness we had to leave. The energy in the place was over the top.

It was a good idea, but a bit chaotic with so many dogs.

I had trouble finding the place and by the time we got there, there was no place to park! I have an older dog so I didn't want to have to make her walk a long way so we just headed home... maybe next time...
