I am working on a gator for my brother and a shawl from an Elsbeth Lavold collection. I just completed a yarn doll for a neighbor's daughter and plan to make some clothes for her next.
I can do both and use both on some of my projects. I mostly knit and also spin
My first sweater. I was determined to knit it in the round and created the pattern using a book called Knitting Ganseys I believe the auther is Beth Brown-Reinsel? I used Lambs Pride blue blood red and did a celtic knot patter down the front center panel with raised hearts on each side. I did a shoulder strap with a simple cable down the sleeve.
I took a fiber workshop at Findhorn in Scotland in 1985 and have been hooked on fiber projects since then.
My very first experience with yarn was when my grandmother taught me to crochet when I was around 9 or 10. She knit me a series of Barbie dresses which my niece now has. I was not able to learn to knit until I was in my 30's. When I discovered the continental/picking method my knitting took off.
My name is Theresa, I just re-located to the area from Seaside OR. I am a knitter and have done some spinning in the past. It is my weekly knitting groups that have bolsterd me through life changes.
