Hello, my Name is Harriet; 69 years young; native Californian born in Oakland CA; more recently a transplant From Rochester WA; moved to Danville CA when I was 10 years old & a graduate of San Ramon High School in Danville.
Crocheting an edging around a piece of lime green fleece.
Both and other crafty things. I also enjoy drafting knit & crochet patterns for scarves & such.
Developing a top-down child's raglan sweater pattern That needs very little seaming. I have knitted over 18 sweaters (and still knitting) with this pattern for donating to the "Knit For Kids" project. The sweaters go to kids all over the world (inc USA) that need a warm sweater.
My Mom showed my how to knit when I was 10 years old. Not too long after that I taught myself to crochet. I knit right handed & crochet left handed.
Watching my Mom knit sweaters for all my cousins. Mom and her friend Sally would knit socks while we kids played. I had knitted only a few swatches but even as a beginner it was clear that I was a natural at knitting evenly. Sally took at my swatches one day and was mortified to see how evenly I was knitting. I don't think she ever did forgive me.
Just fine. Fun group. Nice gals. Always happy to go back again.
